In this workshop you will learn from the teachers of the Academy of Fine Art how to create a realistic torso sculpture directly from the model. We not only teach you the basics of working with clay (material science, tools,...) but also give you an insight into human anatomy, how to deal with light and shadow, design, texture and composition. The correct transfer of proportions in three-dimensional space will be a core element of your work.
Enjoy working with your hands and be interested in learning about an ancient artistic craft. For everything else, you will receive further information by e-mail after your registration.
Please note that the sculpture you will create in this workshop will not be a final object. You can, for example, learn how to make a casting mold in our separate casting workshop or, if you want to preserve your sculpture, take it to a local distillery. We can also give you recommendations if you would like to have a mold made.
(Material costs such as clay and fittings are already included in the price. If you need modeling wood, you can buy it from us on site).
