In this workshop you will be taught the important basics of modeling with clay by the teachers of the Academy of Fine Art Germany. Of course, this also includes the basics such as material science. Before starting, participants will receive step-by-step instructions to introduce them to the methodology and materials. In the first 1.5 weeks, modeling is done from simple templates. Then the modeling of the real human model begins. Of course, you will receive an introduction to the theory of proportions and the anatomy of the human body. You will then work directly from the model in small groups. Part of the workshop is the examination of the individual materials, fittings, modeling woods and techniques.
You will also practise figure drawing throughout the four weeks. To do this, we will start by studying the human anatomy. We will then work from the model every day.
