2 Week Portrait Workshop!

In this intensive 2-week portrait workshop, you decide individually how you want to proceed. This workshop can therefore be adapted to suit beginners, artists with some experience and advanced artists.
2 weeks of drawing
If you are completely new to drawing models and do not yet have much experience in drawing in general, we recommend that you only focus on drawing for the first two weeks. You will learn the basics of anatomy, practise measuring techniques and build up a basic understanding of light and shadow in order to understand and work out shapes.
1st week drawing and 2nd week painting in oil
Do you have a basic knowledge of drawing and painting with oil paints, but not much experience in portraiture? Then this is the right place for you. Our teachers will give you a basic introduction to working from a real model. In addition to an understanding of anatomy and measuring techniques, this includes an introduction to the color palette that we recommend for portraits, especially for skin tones.
2 weeks painting in oil
Are you pretty good at drawing and have you been oil painting for a while? But painting from a model is still difficult for you or you haven't tried it yet? Then two weeks is a great intensive training course. Setting up your palette, mixing colors, understanding and implementing tonal gradations for light and shadow are important things you will learn during these two weeks, along with anatomy.
