This workshop is open to anyone interested in sculpting with clay – whether you're a complete beginner or already have experience.
What will I learn?
Modeling with Clay
You’ll learn the fundamentals of sculptural design: how to work with clay, which tools are most effective, and how material and technique interact.
Anatomy & Form
Working directly from a life model, you’ll sculpt a realistic torso while deepening your understanding of anatomy, lighting, texture, and composition.
Space & Proportion
A key focus is on accurately capturing and translating proportions in three-dimensional space – essential for creating expressive and harmonious sculptures.
Note on the Sculpture
The sculpture you create during the workshop is not a finished final piece. You can choose to have it fired later or create a mold in our Casting Workshop. We’re happy to recommend external mold-making services as well.
Process & schedule
- 5-day long workshop, 30 hours of lessons in total
- Class times: Monday-Friday from 9:30-16:30
- Lunch break: 12:30-13:30
- Language: German and/or English, depending on individual language skills
