Who is this course for?
This workshop is for participants with prior oil paint experience that want to improve their technique – ideal to build on the Oil Painting Basics workshop.
What will I learn?
Understanding Color Palettes
You’ll learn how to handle reduced color palettes like triads (three colors plus Black and White) and gain insight into their effects and possible uses.
Still Life and Contrasts
You will be drawing two still lives – using the classic Dead Palette for one and the modern High Chroma Palette for the other – while exploring additive and subtractive color mixing.
Composition and Imagery
Finally, you will get to pick and arrange objects for another still life drawing while learning about how well thought through compositions tell stories and enhance your paintings.
Process & schedule
- 5-day long workshop, 30 hours of lessons in total
- Class times: Monday-Friday from 9:30-16:30
- Lunch break: 12:30-13:30
- Language: German and/or English, depending on individual language skills
