Who is this course for?
This workshop is for participants with no to little experience as well as experienced ones, who like drawing outside and that want to train their observation skills for light, color and composition.
What will I learn?
Materials
You’ll learn which materials are suitable for landscape painting outside and how to prepare for it.
Painting on Site
The workshop will take place at beautiful locations in Bad Homburg like the Kurpark or the Bad Homburg Castle. You’ll practice color choice, composition and how to observe nature.
Light & Atmosphere
You’ll learn how to deal with changing light and weather and how to properly capture the atmosphere. In the end you get to take home many finished studies of yours.

Process & schedule
- 5-day long workshop, 30 hours of lessons in total
- Class times: Monday-Friday from 9:30-16:30
- Lunch break: 12:30-13:30
- Language: German and/or English, depending on individual language skills
