Who is this course for?
This workshop is for participants who are experienced in the use of oil paints. It’s built on the Figure Drawing Workshop and Oil Painting Basics Workshop.
What will I learn?
Understanding Anatomy and Proportions
In this workshop you’ll be introduced to human anatomy, and you’ll learn how bone structure and muscles form the human body. Moreover, you’ll get to know what the most important anchor points are to be able to correctly transfer proportions and precisely depict the model.
Color Theory and Skin Tones
You’ll learn which colors are suitable for skin tones and how to create an effective palette to achieve lively and natural color gradients.
Painting from A Life Model
Step-by-step you’ll be guided through the process of painting from a life model – paired with theory blocks and working on similar figure studies.

Process & schedule
- 5-day long workshop, 30 hours of lessons in total
- Class times: Monday-Friday from 9:30-16:30
- Lunch break: 12:30-13:30
- Language: German and/or English, depending on individual language skills
