Learning with Lasting Impact
Our participants report long-term progress that extends well beyond the Workshop.
This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn or deepen their skills in sculpture casting. Whether you're gaining first experiences or expanding existing knowledge – this workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced participants.
You’ll receive an introduction to mold-making and learn how to reproduce your sculptures as plaster casts. Two techniques are available: the silicone method and the waste-mold method.
In this approach, you’ll create a flexible, multi-use mold using silicone. You’ll work with mother molds made of plaster and burlap, place registration keys, organize the mold structure, and apply release agents. At the end, you’ll pour and clean your finished plaster copy.
This version uses single-use molds made of plaster and burlap. You’ll learn how to build, open, and clean the mold, apply release agents, and produce a plaster copy. The design of sculptural fragments is also part of the process.

Before the workshop begins, you’ll receive a materials list to help you gather everything you need. The cost of essential items such as clay and armatures is already included in the course fee. If you need modeling tools, you can purchase them on-site.
