Academic Workshop for Painters

For anyone who wants to engage deeply with classical painting – whether as preparation for art school, career orientation, or personal growth.
In this 4-week workshop, you'll gain a compact overview of the curriculum offered in the State-approved Painter Program at the Academy of Fine Art Germany.

Drawing – Fundamentals & Precision

In the first two weeks, you'll learn the basics of realistic drawing – starting with pencil, then moving on to charcoal. You'll practice measurement techniques, explore materials, and learn to use light and shadow deliberately to create depth and expression.

Introduction to Oil Painting

From week three, you'll begin working with oil paints. You'll receive an introduction to materials and techniques, work with a limited color palette, and learn to recognize, mix, and apply warm and cool tones with intention.
In week four, you'll expand your color range and explore various classical palettes.

Figure Drawing & Anatomy

Throughout the course, you'll regularly practice figure drawing. You'll start with an introduction to human anatomy and then work daily from a life model – an intensive training of your observational skills and drawing precision.
